Every Wednesday Starts Oct 21
Karaoke night in the Houston Heights, 10 pm to 2 am. Can't sing? Neither can we.
Wednesdays, 10 pm to 2 am. Happy hour before that, 6 to 9.
$6 Long Islands$6 Adios MF
Liquid courage, priced to move.
Karaoke at a shot bar. Tokyo Joe's is a two-floor shot bar and nightclub at Beall and 20th in the Heights, and on Wednesdays the mic is open from 10 until we close at 2. Pick a song, put your name in, take a shot, regret the song. The room is loud enough that nobody can really hear you, which is the point.
It's a real karaoke setup, not a laptop on the bar. Big catalog: the 2000s stuff, the Spanish stuff, the one song your friend only does when she's had a Long Island. Duets count. Group numbers count. Dragging someone up who said they'd never do it counts most.
Doors open at 6. Happy hour runs till 9 ($4 wells, $3.50 Michelobs), then the $6 Long Islands and $6 Adios MF kick in for the singing. No cover, ever. 21 and up with a real ID. Free lot on site plus free street parking, though the Uber is still the smarter plan.
Want karaoke for your own party? It's a special-cases thing: a weekday, a big enough group, or a buyout, and it happens downstairs where the rig lives. Send the date and headcount and we'll tell you straight.
No. There's never a cover at Tokyo Joe's.
10 pm, every Wednesday, until 2 am. The bar opens at 6.
No. Show up, put your name in with the host, wait your turn, drink while you wait.
Sometimes. The karaoke rig is downstairs, so it works for weekday events, big enough groups, or a full buyout, not for a Saturday table. Send the date and headcount and we'll tell you.
Yes, every night. Bring a real ID.
All the questions — dress code, parking, food, reservations.
Same bar, different damage.
